Teenager arrested after people threatened with knife at Stevenage shopping centre
It happened at The Hyde shopping centre on Friday 11 February.
Detectives investigating an affray in Stevenage are appealing for witnesses and information.
The incident occurred in The Hyde shopping centre, at just after 2pm on Friday 11 February.
It is alleged that a teenage boy made threats towards a group of people who were sitting inside the Hyde Café, before producing a knife. He then made off on a scooter towards Hydean Way.
Detective Constable Kirsty Rusbridge, who is investigating, said: “No one was hurt during the incident, but this was obviously very frightening for people who were in the area at the time.
“An arrest has been made and our enquiries are continuing. As part of this, we’re appealing for anyone who saw what happened, saw the suspect in the area, or who may have any other information about the incident, to please come forward.”

A 17-year-old boy has been arrested on suspicion of possession of a bladed article in a public place and affray. He has been released on police bail while enquiries continue.
