Bedfordshire Police is appealing for witnesses after a man was stabbed in Bedford on Monday (15 January).

Officers were called shortly after 7pm to Sudeley Walk following reports of four men fighting with two brandishing a knife and a baseball bat.

Emergency services attended the scene and a man in his 20s was taken to hospital having suffered multiple stab wounds. His injuries were deemed as non-life threatening.

Yesterday (Tuesday), a teenage boy was arrested on suspicion of grievous bodily harm (GBH). He has since been bailed.

Officers are now appealing for witnesses to come forward as they seek a further two suspects who were witnessed fleeing the scene towards Carisbrooke Way. All the men are described as wearing dark tracksuits, trainers and face coverings.

Local residents are being asked to check any video doorbells for footage that may support the investigation. Anyone with information can contact the police via beds.police.uk/ro/report or call 101, quoting reference CAD 335 of 15 January.
