Street Party Planned in Bedford to Celebrate Coronation of King Charles
The party will take place on St Cuthbert Street, and will feature live music, food, and drinks from various independent shops and restaurants in the area.
Saint Cuthbert Street is gearing up for a street party this weekend to celebrate the coronation of King Charles.
The local indie businesses have come together to promote the area, provide live music and offer visitors a chance to celebrate.
Rosanna Heisman, owner of The Store in Bedford, commented on the event, saying that small businesses often struggle to organise events, but that there was a lot of passion to bring something to town and give people a reason to celebrate.
The street party is the first of its kind in a few years and aims to encourage people to come back into the town centre, learn what shops are in the area and have a good time.
It promises a variety of food and drinks on offer, including soft-serve ice cream, oysters and champagne, pizza by the slice, coffee, and beers.
