Speed limit cut on A41 near Aylesbury after fatal crashes
Drivers will be limited to 50mph between the town and Waddesdon
The speed limit is going to be reduced on the A41 between Aylesbury and Waddesdon.
After recent crashes along the main route out to Bicester, councillors, MP Greg Smith and local landowners have met.
On Saturday, a biker died in a collision at Woodham.
Councillor Paul Irwin said in a Facebook post that a temporary change will mean drivers limited to 50mph instead of 60mph.
He said:
"We have met with officers from the police, HS2 and the Council and agreed to a temporary 50 mile speed limit to be put in place within 2 weeks, along with warning signage."
Greg Smith, the area's MP, agreed and said he was working to look at extra safety measures further along the route, where that fatal collision happened at the weekend.
