Shop worker assaulted with shopping basket during shoplifting incident in Buckingham

Police have released images of three men who may have important information about the incident.

A shop worker has been assaulted with a shopping basket during a shoplifting incident in Buckingham.

Between 12.15pm and 12.30pm on Friday (6 November), three men entered the Aldi store on Osier Way and filled baskets with products before exiting the store through the main entrance.

Two members of staff chased after and challenged the men, during which one of them was assaulted with a shopping basket.

The victim, a man in his thirties, sustained reddening to his forearm but did not require hospital treatment.

All of the items taken have since been recovered.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Jamie Mulliner, based at Aylesbury police station, said:

"I am releasing these images as I believe that these men may have important information that can help with my investigation.
