Florence Nightingale Hospice Charity is bringing its popular Santa Dash event to Aylesbury this year, to coincide with the town’s Santa Parade tomorrow (21 November).

The Charity are asking Dashers to wear their most festive outfits to run, jog, scoot or walk their way around a 2.5km or 5km circular route around the town to raise money for local hospice care.

“We know that Christmas is an opportunity to spend time and create precious memories with friends and family. For some of our patients and their families, they are doing this know that this year could be their last one all together. That is why we’re asking the people of Aylesbury to come together to kickstart the season of goodwill and help raise funds; so that the team at Florence Nightingale Hospice can be there to support local patients at Christmas, and everyday.” says Claire Redrup, Public Fundraising Manager at the Charity.

“As the Matron as the Hospice says ‘It’s about taking pressure off, enabling families to spend precious quality time with their loved one, that’s what’s important.’”

Every ‘Dasher’ will receive a Santa hat, medal and the chance to take part in the Santa Parade, as well as making it straight onto Santa’s ‘nice’ list for supporting a local charity.

Tickets cost £15 for adults and £10 for children on the day.
