Chiltern Railways running reduced timetable in Bucks
Services will return to normal after the lockdown restrictions lift
Chiltern Railways will be running a reduced timetable from tomorrow, which could impact Buckinghamshire passengers.
Train services will be moving to a slightly reduced timetable to ensure that vital train services for those needing to travel can keep running.
Overall, the new timetable represents a reduction of 31 trains across the whole week and customers should check their train times on the Chiltern website before travelling.
The move ensures the train operator can reliably deliver a service appropriate for the number of customers following enhanced national restrictions.
This timetable will remain in place until the end of these restrictions in England on 2nd December.
Eleni Jordan, Commercial and Customer Strategy Director of Chiltern Railways said:
"We have undertaken an in-depth review of the number of customers using our services and while the decision has been made to run a reduced timetable for now, we will continue to provide enough space on our trains for social distancing to be maintained. This revised timetable will ensure that Chiltern Railways can still continue to run a safe and reliable service which can be reinstated when customer numbers increase.
"We would strongly encourage our customers to continue to follow Government advice when travelling with us, such as wearing a face covering at all times unless exempt, travelling at quieter times where possible and maintaining social distancing where you can."
