Rail services disrupted after person hit by train

It's affecting journeys in Hertfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Peterborough

A person has been hit by a train in Stevenage.

It's affecting services between Peterborough / Cambridge and London.

National Rail says: "Whilst the emergency services carry out their work, all lines between these stations are closed. Trains may be cancelled, delayed by up to 60 minutes or revised.

"Major disruption is expected until 17:00.

"If you've been affected by what happened on the network today, there is always someone to talk to. You can contact the Samaritans on 116 123 from any phone for a confidential chat."
