Spotlight on Proud of Bucks winners for their work during pandemic
Individuals, groups and organisations are being recognised
The time has come for our Proud of Bucks winners to take centre stage and be applauded for their efforts in helping others during the pandemic.
From individuals doing their bit in their local area to groups and organisations who have come together to support whole communities, the Proud of Bucks awards were created in order to shine a light on the great work going on across the county in response to the coronavirus pandemic.
The county-wide category award winners were:

" Public Service Hero - Buckinghamshire Fire & Rescue Service
" Young Community Hero - Keyaan Hameed
" Collaboration Award - 3D Print World
" Best Employer - Ashridge Home Care
" Best Local Business Innovation - The Lockdown Lodge
" Business Community Champion - The Mash Inn
" Education Hero - Bierton C of E School
" Food & Necessities Hero - DAC Removals & Storage
" Health & Social Care Service Hero - Maryam Kemi Giwa
To reflect the volume of support and innovation in communities across the county, each of the 16 local community boards chose a winner for a Local Impact award in their area:
" Amersham - The Little Chalfont Community Food Bank
" Aylesbury - Adedayo Olowosale
" Beaconsfield & Chepping Wye - Alison Jane Redding
" Beeches - Saera Carter
" Buckingham & Villages - Chris Mullis
" Chesham & Villages - Carl J Pearson
" Denham, Gerrards Cross & Chalfonts - James Sebastian Foraye
" Haddenham & Waddesdon - Church on Berryfields
" High Wycombe - Karima Foundation
" Missendens - Lindsey Farn
" North West Chilterns - Risborough Basket
" South West Chilterns - Meals from Marlow
" Wendover - Stoke Mandeville Community Support
" Wexham and Iver - The Ivers Parish Council and Community
" Wing & Ivinghoe - Chedd-eroo
" Winslow & Villages - Margo Jackson
Other individuals and groups were highly commended in each category.
Buckinghamshire Council Leader Martin Tett said:
"Congratulations to everyone who has won an award and to all those who've been highly commended, you all deserve the highest praise and recognition for your efforts.
"I've said it before and I will say it again, I've been astonished by the sheer variety and breadth of work that has been going on in our local communities during this crisis. I think I speak on behalf of the whole county when I say I am proud to live in a community filled with such kind, generous and public-spirited people. Without a doubt, your efforts have helped hundreds and thousands of people across Buckinghamshire during these difficult times so thank you once again."
The Proud of Bucks awards were sponsored by The Clare Foundation, Founder and Chairman, Mike Clare said: "At The Clare Foundation our ethos is all about working with partners to create positive change in Buckinghamshire.
