A new bar will open in Princes Risborough this year, after the Town Council bought a High Street building.
They've finally signed-off the details for Number 39, meaning The Manor will open a second location here.
The Town Council are one of the first in the country to invest in commercial property.
They have agreed final terms and negotiations for a 20year lease on their commercial premises and has announced that their new tenant is hospitality business “The Manor” who already own a successful Restaurant, Cocktail Bar & Roof Terrace in the heart of Aylesbury.
The council-owned building, a former NatWest Bank on Princes Risborough high street has already undergone interior refurbishment works by the Town Council and the installation of a new shop frontage.
The premises were the subject of a lengthy planning application which has resulted in the approval and addition of a rooftop terrace area with panoramic views to the existing 1369 sq. ft building.
The Manor’s spokesperson/Owner Peter Lee said:
“We are delighted to be expanding and coming to Princes Risborough and contributing to the local economy. We expect to open by May 2021 and will serve both delicious brunches and tapas alongside an extensive range of alluring cocktails”.
The Town Council is one of the first in the country to invest in commercial property and is confident that the new addition to the High Street, will enhance the town's night-time economy as well as offer the best financial return and long-term viability for tax-payers' money.
Town Mayor & Chairman Cllr, Matthew Walsh said:
“We very much look forward to welcoming The Manor to Princes Risborough and subsequently introducing a new offering to the town which will benefit both residents and visitors alike."
