It will be awarded to local groups and charities who want to make a positive impact on the community

A £75,000 fund is being launched by Buckinghamshire Building Society for local groups to forward their work after the pandemic.
The fund will recognise the community work in the county and is shining a light on some of the charities and projects that are keen on making a real difference.
It is being called the 'Here to Help Fund' and is aiming to support charities and projects who work to benefit the community, but have been held back by the pandemic.
With fundraising and drawing awareness to the people making a difference made more difficult over lockdown, Buckinghamshire Building Society have set up a panel who will be able to pinpoint which groups will benefit the most from the extra cash.
There will be one award of £40,000 as well as £35,000 which will be split into a number of smaller grants of up to £5,000 each to spread the money out across the county.
Moving charities forward after a "standstill" in donations"
The team are very excited for the impact it will have according to the Head of Marketing at Buckinghamshire Building society Fiona Jackson who said:
"In terms of donations lots came to a standstill during the pandemic period and some are probably only just starting to get back on track. Charities that rely on events and all those sorts of initiatives have really suffered because those events just haven't been able to take place."
The local charity Heart of Bucks has partnered with the organisation to support the community. The Chief Executive Henry Allmand has seen the efforts the county has gone to in the last 18 months and noted the importance of coming together in Buckinghamshire. HE said:
"We never fail to be impressed by people's generosity in Buckinghamshire. We as a community foundation have seen some incredible examples of people being incredibly selfless through the pandemic, but also before that, and hopefully going on into the future!"
