Two teenage boys have been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after a teenage boy was stabbed at Potters Bar train station yesterday afternoon.

British Transport Police officers arrived at the scene at just after 3PM with paramedics also in attendance to take the teenager to hospital.

During the incident, bus operators had to divert routes away from the scene, with Uno Bus asking customers to use bus stops on the main road.

In that Tweet, they said: "Potters Bar Station has been temporarily closed by the police.

"Please use bus stops on the main road."

Sullivan's Buses were only serving the Arnos Grove to Cockfosters part of their Route 298 because of the incident - among a number which had to be altered yesterday afternoon.

Images of the scene for much of the afternoon showed a heavy police presence, with that emergency diversion for buses in place.

The victim's injuries are not life threatening and the two teenagers remain in police custody.
