Police appeal for witnesses after woman raped in Gerrards Cross
Thames Valley Police say specialist officers are supporting the victim following the attack on Thursday evening
Thames Valley Police are appealing for witnesses after a woman was raped in Gerrards Cross.
The woman, who's in her 20s, was attacked by a man near to St James' Church, Oxford Road, at around 10:40pm on Thursday.
She is being supported by specially trained officers.
Detective Inspector Dominique Muldoon said:
"I appreciate incidents such as this will cause concern in the local community however, we are making fast-time enquiries and our investigation is progressing.
"The victim is being supported at this time, and a scene-watch has now been stood down.
"I would urge anybody who believes that they witnessed this incident or has any information that may assist the investigation to please call us on 101 or make a report on our website, quoting reference 43240329920.
"I would also ask anybody who was driving in the area, particularly on the A40 through Gerrards Cross, to please check your dash-cams and get in touch if it has captured anything that may assist the investigation."
