Police officer charged with further 13 offences by Hertfordshire Constabulary
He was originally charged with one offence of rape

A Metropolitan Police officer has been charged with a further 13 offences by Hertfordshire Constabulary.
David Carrick, aged 46, who is based within the Met’s Parliamentary and Diplomatic Protection Command, was arrested on 2 October and originally charged with one offence of rape.
He was remanded into custody.
However, Hertfordshire Constabulary said that since the start of the investigation a further three alleged victims have come forward.
The new charges relate to the time period 2017 to 2020 and are:
-Three counts of rape
-Three counts of sexual assault
-Two counts of sexual assault by penetration
-Two counts of coercive and controlling behaviour
-One count of false imprisonment
-One count of attempted sexual assault by penetration
-One count of causing a person to engage in sexual activity without consent.
Carrick will appear by video link at Westminster Magistrates’ Court tomorrow (26 November) in relation to these charges.
He will then appear at St Albans Crown Court on 3 December for a Plea and Trial Preparation Hearing.
PC Carrick has been suspended by the Metropolitan Police.
A referral has been made to the Independent Office for Police Conduct.
