Police launch Aylesbury murder investigation
It follows the discovery of a woman's body on Saturday, who police have confirmed is Juming Xue aged 41 from Kimblewick
Thames Valley Police has launched a murder investigation in Aylesbury.
Following the discovery of a deceased woman on Saturday (8/6) officers from the Major Crime Unit have launched a murder investigation.
Officers attended a property in Kimblewick and following searches found a deceased woman.
An investigation has been launched and a man in his forties from Aylesbury was arrested on suspicion of murder, he has been bailed and our enquiries are ongoing.
The investigation is connected to a woman who was reported missing in the Kimblewick area on Friday (7/6). Police have now traced the family of the deceased, who we can confirm as Juming Xue aged 41 from Kimblewick.
A post-mortem has been conducted.
At this time, the cause of death has not been determined and further pathology tests will be carried out in due course.
Senior Investigating Officer, Detective Inspector Stuart May of the Thames Valley Police Major Crime Unit, said: “Following this sad discovery we have launched a murder investigation and are continuing to carry out a number of enquiries.
“We have been making extensive enquiries and contacting officials in China to trace Juming’s family, and yesterday (12/6) we have been able to inform them of this tragic news.
“My thoughts remain with them at this difficult time.
“We are aware the news that we have launched a murder investigation will be concerning to the local community and there may be some concern around the delay there has been in us providing information publicly.
“However it was vitally important and only right that Juming’s family were informed of our investigation before we provided any information to the wider public.
“One man has been arrested on suspicion of murder, he has been bailed and our enquiries are ongoing.
