Police investigate two assaults in Watford High Street

A man arrested in connection with the incidents has been released under investigation.

Police investigating reports of two assaults in Watford are appealing for witnesses and information.

Both incidents are reported to have occurred outside the Slug and Lettuce in the High Street.

At around 9.20pm on Saturday April 30, a man aged in his 30s was allegedly assaulted as he left the premises, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained a cut to the back of his head.

At around 8.45pm on Sunday 15 April, a man aged in his 40s was allegedly assaulted as he left the premises, causing him to fall to the ground. He sustained a cut under his eye.

A 26-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incidents and has been released under investigation while enquiries continue.
