Police confirm woman's body found in Aylesbury

Officers have said the death "is not being treated as suspicious"

After police cordoned off part of Aylesbury town centre this morning (16 April), officers have confirmed a woman has died.

Thames Valley Police has said they were called just before 10am to a report of a concern for the welfare of a woman in Oxford Road.

Officers attended the scene with the fire service.

Sadly, a 47 year-old woman was pronounced dead at the scene.

Police have said the death "is not being treated as suspicious".

Her next of kin have been informed and are being supported.

A file will now be prepared for the coroner.

Thames Valley Police has completed a mandatory referral to the IOPC following the incident.
