Police confirm identity of Aylesbury murder victim

Two men, both from Aylesbury, have been charged with murder.

The identity of the victim in an Aylesbury murder investigation has been confirmed.

Officers were called to reports of a large fight in Lembrook Walk, Aylesbury, on Wednesday evening (28 October).

A man who was injured in the incident died in hospital.

He has now been identified as 22 year-old Amir Shafique, from Aylesbury.

Thames Valley Police has said Amir’s family are being supported by specially trained officers and are asking that their privacy continues to be respected.

A Home Office post-mortem examination was carried out on Friday, the results of which are said to be pending further medical opinion.

Two men, both from Aylesbury, have been charged with murder and have been remanded in custody.

Seven other men, all from Aylesbury and arrested in connection with the incident, have been released on conditional police bail.
