Police appeal for witnesses following attempted robbery in Watford

Police are appealing for witnesses and information following an attempted robbery in Watford.
The incident occurred in Oxhey Park, off Wiggenhall Road, sometime between 9.20pm and 9.45pm on Thursday 4 August.
It was reported that the victim, a 41-year-old man, was exercising in the park when three unknown males approached his pedal cycle which was nearby.
The males then asked the victim to hand over his mobile phone, before threatening him with a small knife. The males then fled in the direction of Bushey Arches, dropping the knife as they did so. The victim was uninjured and nothing was taken.
The males are described as follows:
A white male, of slim build, with freckles, approximately 5ft 1in tall and looked approximately 12 years old. He was wearing a baseball cap, a white-coloured T-shirt and long trousers.
A black male, of large build, around 5ft 9in tall, wearing a black T-shirt and dark coloured trousers. He appeared older than the first male.
A white male, around 5ft 1in tall, also looked around 12 years old, of slim build, with short brown hair.
Investigator Kirsty Treanor, from the Local Crime Unit said: “Thankfully the victim was unhurt and nothing was taken. Our enquiries into the incident are continuing at this time.
“As part of this, I am appealing for any witnesses to please come forward. Did you see three males in the area around the time, matching the descriptions given? Any information at all could greatly assist our enquiries.”
