A 12-year-old boy is recovering from injuries after a collision in Watford between a car and a pedestrian in March.

It happened on Friday 24 March on the A405 North Orbital Road, near the junction with Horseshoe Lane at around 3:10pm.

The 12-year-old pedestrian sustained breaks to his ankle and leg and also suffered from significant bruising.

The vehicle, which is described to be grey coloured, continued travelling towards the M1.

PC Lauren Maberly, who is investigating, said: “Thankfully the boy’s injuries are not life-threatening and he is continuing to recover.

“We’re currently making enquiries to trace the vehicle involved and the driver. As part of this, we’re appealing for anyone who saw the incident and hasn’t yet spoken to police to please come forward.

“I’d also like to hear from anyone who may have been driving in the area at the time with an active dash cam. If you have captured any footage which may assist us, please get in touch.”
