Southern Rail confirmed a person was hit by a train
A person has died after being hit by a train at Hemel Hempstead.
British Transport Police have confirmed the fatality, after lines were blocked yesterday afternoon.
In a statement this morning, STP said:
"Officers were called to Hemel Hempstead at 5.14pm following reports of a casualty on the tracks.
"Paramedics also attended however sadly a person was pronounced dead at the scene.
"The incident is not being treated as suspicious and a file will be prepared for the coroner."
