Pensioner charged with attempted murder after woman in her 80s assaulted in Aylesbury

A pensioner's been charged with attempted murder after an assault in Aylesbury in New Years Day.

Thames Valley Police were called by South Central Ambulance Service to an assault with injury at a property in Buckingham Street, Aylesbury.

An 81-year-old woman was found with serious, life-threatening injuries at the property.

She remains in hospital in a critical condition.

Terrence Clarke, aged 82, of Buckingham Street, Aylesbury, has been charged with attempted murder today, and is due to appear at Wycombe Magistrates Court today.
