The Swan Practice is holding two drop in sessions in October and November as part of a public consultation.

For several years, the practice has been working on proposals to move it's North End and Verney Close surgeries into a new purpose built site in Lace Hill.

The surgery at Steeple Claydon would not be affected by the move.

The new site would deliver more healthcare services, allowing patients to access some services which are currently only available at hospital.

Along with better parking facilities, there are ongoing discussions with other healthcare providers and organisations within the community about having a presence at the proposed site.

Whilst there is some NHS funding available to support the plans, it will only be viable if the practice can develop an affordable plan along with the necessary finance.

Dr George Gavriel, Executive Partner at The Swan Practice, said:

"We want as many of our patients as possible to give their views on these plans.

"Our goal as a GP Practice is to deliver the best possible services to our patients in an environment that is safe, comfortable and fit for the purposes of a modern general practice.

"Unfortunately that is no longer possible in our current premises in Buckingham."

The drop-in sessions will take place between 12-2pm today (27 October) and the 2 November.
