Over 20 injured in M40 crash in Bucks

Around 14 vehicles were involved in the collision near High Wycombe.

Over 20 people were hurt in a 14-vehicle crash on the M40 near Wycombe last night.

11 people were taken to hospital with serious injuries, whilst others were treated at the scene.

The collision happened between Loudwater and Handy Cross, just after 5.30pm.

South Central Ambulance Service sent several crews, as well as the Thames Valley Air Ambulance.

Bucks Fire & Rescue were also on the scene, sending two appliances and crews from High Wycombe, one from Beaconsfield, one from Gerrards Cross, one from Maidenhead and two officers.

SCAS gave a 'huge thank you' to everyone who attended.
