Over 100k sign HS2 petition

People in Buckinghamshire are among those to support it

Over 100,000 people have now signed a petition calling for HS2 to be reviewed, which means Parliament will have to debate it.

More than 7,000 of those are from Buckinghamshire.

Campaigner Chris Packham has been calling for the route to be scrapped, saying the way we work has changed, making HS2 redundant.

In a message to supporters, Chris said:

"Now we need to make sure the debate happens, that it is fair and democratic.

"My deepest thanks for all your support."
