Detectives in Bedfordshire say a murder investigation is underway after a stabbing in Luton.

Officers were called to Farley Hill just before 2:15pm yesterday afternoon, where the victim in his 50s sadly died at the scene.

Police say the man's next of kin has been informed.

The force are said to be "following a number of lines of enquiry" as their investigations continue, and are appealing for those with doorbell and CCTV footage along Farley Hill, Whipperley Way, or adjoining roads, to get in touch.

Detective Chief Inspector Nick Gardner said: “Our thoughts first and foremost are with the family and friends of the man who has died in these tragic circumstances.

“Knife crime has no place in our communities and we would like to reassure the public we’re working hard to establish the circumstances surrounding the man’s death and identify the person responsible."
