Motorcyclist killed in Bedfordshire collision

It happened on Flitwick Road on Sunday

The 29-year-old died following the collision in Maulden, near Ampthill.

Emergency services were called to Flitwick Road on Sunday at around 3.45pm following a report of a single vehicle collision involving a motorbike.

The rider was travelling north towards Maulden when the motorbike, a white Yamaha, left the carriageway.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

Sergeant Mark Atkins, from the Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire and Hertfordshire Road Policing Unit, said:

“We are working on establishing the circumstances that led to this tragic incident and we are keen to speak to anyone who was in that area at the time.

“We would also like to ask motorists who were travelling in the area to check their dashcam footage.

“Our specially trained officers are supporting the family of the man in this difficult time.”
