More arrests in connection with violent disorder in Luton

More people have been arrested, after a violent disorder in Luton last month.

There were reports of gun shots and several people fighting with weapons in the Hallwicks Road area on 3 March.

After searching the area, an address was found to be housing a cannabis factory close to the scene.

Five men were initially arrested in connection with the incident and have been released on bail.

In the early hours of Friday morning (9 April), officers searched three addresses in Luton and two in Shefford.

A further five men, all aged in their 30s, were arrested in connection with the violent disorder.

They were charged on Saturday (10 April) with a number of violent disorder, drug supply and drug production offences.
