A man who had over 135 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin in his car in High Wycombe has been jailed.

Police spotted several people approaching Mohammed Azim's car and found the drugs, worth over ÂŁ1,300.

At 9.20pm on 17 April 2019, Azim, of Beeches Road, Birmingham, was stopped on Totteridge Road, High Wycombe, after officers had observed a number of people approaching his vehicle.

On getting out of his car, the 31-year-old ran and was detained by officers.

More than 135 wraps of crack cocaine and heroin were located and further enquiries revealed Azim’s DNA on these wraps.

Azim was also in possession of ÂŁ260 in cash.

Azim refused to admit his involvement in two police interviews, claiming a lesser role, but he was convicted in court.

He was subsequently jailed for a total of two years and ten months and the court ordered the destruction of the drugs and the cash to be forfeited to local charities.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Louise Knowles, based at High Wycombe police station, said:

“As a result of officers observing suspicious activity involving Azim, he was stopped and searched and a quantity of class A drugs valued at more than £1300 were seized.

“This conviction displays Thames Valley Police’s determination to tackle drug supply in our communities and the Stronghold team will tirelessly pursue anybody involved in such activities.

“Azim will now serve a prison sentence to reflect on his actions. We will not tolerate such criminal activity in our communities.
