A man is due to make a second court appearance today (15th February), charged with the murder of Ahmednur Nuur in Milton Keynes on Friday (11th February).

The 16-year-old, from Conniburrow, died from a stab wound after an incident near the Chaffron Way campus of Milton Keynes College, around 1.30pm.

Justice Will-Mamah, 18, of Coniston Way in Bletchley, is accused of murder, and possession of a knife blade/sharp pointed article in a public place.

A 17-year-old has also been arrested in connection with the incident, on suspicion of assisting an offender and perverting the course of justice.

"We lost our light on earth"

As the 16-year-old victim was named yesterday (14th February) as Ahmednur Nuur, from Conniburrow, his family released a tribute to him.

They said: “Nur in Arabic means light and Ahmednur was the embodiment of the warmest, brightest shades of his name. If he wasn't making people smile, it’s because he was making them laugh.

“We lost our light on earth, but we pray Allah unites us with our adored brother and son in Jannah, where his luminous soul will remain in peace.

“Verily we know, inna lilahi wa inna ilayhi raji’un- indeed, to Allah we belong and to Allah we shall return.”

Thames Valley Police says the family is being supported by specialist officers.

Stop and search powers

A section 60 order has been in place in part of Milton Keynes since the incident on Friday afternoon.

It gives police officers the power to 'look for items connected with violence.'

The powers are in place until this afternoon (15th February), and could be extended.
