Mike Dodds has been brought on as the manager for Wycombe Wanderers, signing a contract running until June 2028.

Dodds has had comprehensive experience in managing clubs throughout his career, having coached at Coventry City, Birmingham City and most recently, Sunderland.

The decision came following a long process in the wake of Matt Bloomfield's departure from the club at the beginning of the year.

In a statement, the club - who plays in League One - welcomed Dodds onto the team, hoping to see improvement in their results.

"Mike shares our vision of building the club through innovation and data, ensuring that we continue to evolve and stay ahead in an increasingly competitive landscape," they said.

"He also strongly aligns with our commitment to the academy being an integral part of our future strategy, and we are confident that his leadership will help us further strengthen our pathway from youth to first-team football."

The coach is set to start at the job immediately, with the first fixture under his leadership being Wycombe's clash with Preston North End on Saturday (February 8th).
