Man stabbed in centre of Buckingham

Police cordon off main areas in the town

A man was stabbed in the centre of Buckingham last night.

The victim, who's in his thirties, was found with stab wounds in Market Square by a member of the public.

The ambulance service was called to the scene and he was taken to hospital with serious injuries.

Police cordoned off Market Square and Candleford Court.

In an update overnight, officers confirmed the man was injured in Market Square but then treated by the ambulance in Candleford Court.

There has been a large police presence overnight and will continue to be today (28th Nov).

Officers have said they don't believe this incident is connected to the recent violence offences in Chandos Park in Buckingham
