Hertfordshire man sentenced to two years in prison for drug and driving offenses

A man has been jailed after pleading guilty to drugs and driving offences after being stopped in Newmarket.
Ermal Zemzadja of Shenley Road, Borehamwood in Hertfordshire was sentenced to two years’ imprisonment on Friday 31 May, having pleaded guilty at a previous hearing to being concerned in the supply of cocaine and using a motor vehicle without insurance.
Zemzadja was stopped while driving in Barbara Stradbroke Avenue in Newmarket on 17 April.
He was found to be in possession of two phones, with one found to contain messaging relating to the supply of drugs.
A property was searched following his arrest and 10 seal bags of cocaine were located inside.
He was taken to Bury St Edmunds Police Investigation centre for questioning and subsequently charged.
Sergeant George Laflin of the West Sentinel team said: “This result highlights that action will be taken to those who continue distribute drugs and impact our local communities.
“If you are affected by the issue, we encourage you to report drug dealing and drug related anti-social behaviour to Suffolk Police to help prevent further offences in the county."
