Man rescued from house fire in High Wycombe

The fire broke out in an airing cupboard.

A man has been rescued from a house fire in High Wycombe this afternoon (9 November).

Firefighters from High Wycombe and Beaconsfield attended the scene in Forest Way at around 3.10pm.

Buckinghamshire Fire and Rescue Service has said crews used one hose reel, two sets of breathing apparatus and a fan.

They rescued a man, who was not injured.

The fire broke out in an airing cupboard and caused "significant" smoke damage to the first floor, according to the service.
