Man remanded into custody after being charged in connection with Buntingford robbery

A man has been remanded into custody after being charged in connection with an armed robbery which occurred in Buntingford last weekend.

It is alleged that cash was stolen from Budgens in Baldock Road on Saturday February 8th just after midnight, staff were threatened.

29 year old Marc McAllister, from Crouch Gardens in Buntingford is due to attend a hearing at St Albans Crown Court next month.

Detective Sergeant Adam Haines said: “We’ve been following numerous lines of enquiry and, as a result, have been able to make an arrest and secure charges.

“Our investigations are continuing and if you have any information which may assist us, we’d urge you to please get in touch.”
