Man murdered in Milton Keynes assault named by police

A man who died as a result of injuries from an assault in Milton Keynes has been named formally by police as John Davies.

The 34-year-old from Glebe Farm, Milton Keynes, died from injuries after an assault in the underpass between Groveway and Newport Road in Wavendon Gate on October 23rd.

A post-mortem examination on Monday (October 30) showed the preliminary cause of death to be blunt force trauma to the head.

His next of kin are being supported by officers.

25-year-old Wesley Atick, of Buxton Close, Glebe Farm, Milton Keynes, has been charged with one count of attempted murder and he's been remanded in custody.

Atick is due to appear at Aylesbury Crown Court on December 4th.
