Runner punches man unconscious in High Wycombe
Police want to talk to the man in this e-fit
A man has been punched in the head by a runner in High Wycombe.
He was left unconscious, with a fractured cheekbone, after the incident in Bigmore Lane on Monday.
He had asked the man to stick to the public footpath.
This all happened at around 10am on Monday (19/4).
The victim, a man in his fifties, saw the other man running in Bigmore Lane, Cadmore End.
The victim asked the man to stick to the public path as the field is private property.
The runner then punched the victim in the head and ran away.
The victim lost consciousness and members of the public nearby stopped to help him. He was taken to hospital for treatment where it was discovered he had sustained a fractured cheek bone and lacerations to the face as well as suffering from blurred vision.
He has since been discharged.
