Man jailed for Assault in Taplow
Muhammed Adnan, 29, assaulted their co-worker during a night shift at a shell garage on Bath Road

A man has been sentenced for an assault in Taplow.
Muhammad Adnan, aged 29, of The Normans, Slough, was sentenced to six years’ imprisonment on Monday (19/6) at Amersham Law Court.
A jury unanimously found Adnan guilty of one count each of S18 grievous bodily harm with intent and common assault.
On 10 June 2022, the victim, a man in his forties, was finishing his night shift at the Shell Garage in Bath Road at 6am.
Adnan arrived for his shift and asked his colleague to help him with a ‘stuck office door’. Adnan also told the store manager to stay on the tills to keep him away.
When the victim went to open the stuck door, Adnan pulled a large kitchen knife on the victim and shouted at him stating he would kill him.
Adnan tried to stab the victim multiple times in the chest, but the victim managed to deflect most of them.
The store manager tried to disarm Adnan but he stabbed the victim in his calf and cut his knee.
The store manager eventually managed to disarm Adnan but he picked up a kitchen fork and stabbed at the victim’s neck and other areas. Adnan also threw a bottle of mayonnaise at a customer who intervened.
The owner of the petrol station arrived at the scene and the situation calmed. However, Adnan lied to officers about what had happened, so the full extent was not known to police.
The victim suffered wounds to his calf, which required 12 stitches and orthopaedic treatment to remove blood clots, and to his knee, which required two stitches.
Adnan then fled to Pakistan but our officers and officers from the Metropolitan Police Service arrested him when his return flight landed at Heathrow Airport on 25 July 2022. He was charged on 26 July 2022.
Investigating officer Detective Constable Bradley Haynes, of the South Buckinghamshire Priority Crime Team, said: “This was a violent and shocking incident; Thames Valley Police takes all knife crime seriously and will investigate it as such.
“Tackling knife crime is a top priority and we will continue to robustly target and pursue those who think it’s acceptable to carry a knife.
“The sentence issued is justice for the victim and will allow him some closure from the assault that took place.
