A man has been assaulted in an apparent road rage incident in High Wycombe.

Thames Valley Police has launched an appeal for witnesses following the assault on November 6, when two men got out of a dark-coloured car near to traffic lights on Daws Hill Lane.

They proceeded to use homophobic language towards the victim, a man in his forties, before assaulting him with a cricket bat.

The victim suffered injuries which required hospital treatment, but he has since been discharged.

Officers are appealing for witnesses, and footage to the incident.

The driver of the car is described as mixed heritage, in his early 30s and around 6ft tall. The other offender is described as similar age, of European origin with a tanned complexion.
