Man from Aylesbury arrested after robbery

Police are appealing for witnesses

A man from Aylesbury has been arrested after a robbery in the town.

The 27 year-old was arrested on suspicion of robbery, and has since been released on bail with conditions.

It comes after a 24 year-old man was approached by an unknown man on Griffin Lane, Goldswain End, and attacked at around 11pm on Thursday (12 August).

The victim did not suffer any injuries during the incident, but his mobile phone and an amount of cash was stolen.

Investigating officer Detective Constable Thomas Booth, based at Aylesbury Police Station, said:

“I am appealing for anyone who may have witnessed this incident, or anyone who may have information about what happened, to please come forward.
