Man dies at lake in Hertfordshire
Emergency services were called out in Welwyn Garden City on Tuesday night
It's been confirmed a man has died at a lake in Welwyn Garden City.
Emergency services were called out to Stanborough Lakes on Tuesday night, after a man got into difficulty, but he died at the scene.
Officers attended, alongside colleagues from the fire and ambulance services.
A search of the water was carried out and the man was located.
Despite the best efforts of paramedics, he was sadly pronounced dead at the scene.
His next of kin have been informed.
Enquiries are continuing at this time to establish the circumstances around what happened.
