Man dies following collision near Swavesey
Investigations are underway after the driver of black MG died at scene of a crash on the A1307

A man has died following a collision on the A1307 near Swavesey yesterday evening (24 October).
The incident occurred at approximately 6.15 pm when a black MG HS and a white Audi A6 were involved in a collision. Emergency services responded to the scene, but the driver of the MG was pronounced dead at the location.
The Audi driver, a man in his 60s, sustained serious injuries and was transported to Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge, where he remains in a serious but stable condition.
The A1307 was closed after the incident and reopened at about 1 am today.
Witnesses or anyone who may have seen either vehicle prior to the collision are urged to contact the Serious Collision Investigation Unit online, quoting incident number 443 of 24 October, or to call 101.
