A man has died after an assault in Burnham last Saturday.

The victim, a man in his 50s, was attacked in the Red Lion pub in High Street around 12:50am, and yesterday died in hospital.

Thames Valley Police say 38-year-old Usman Hanif, of High Street, Langley, Slough, was charged on Sunday with grievous bodily harm with intent.

He's next due to appear in court in September.

Officers say CPS will be updated as further enquiries continue, as a homicide investigation is launched following the victim's death.
