Man convicted of drugs offences in High Wycombe
It follows an investigation by Thames Valley Police
A man has been convicted of drugs offences in High Wycombe.
Yasar Mahmood, aged 35, of Upper Green Street, pleaded guilty to one count each of possession with intent to supply heroin, and possession with intent to supply cocaine at a hearing at High Wycombe Magistrates’ court on Monday (5/6).
On Saturday (3/6) Mahmood was seen driving into the car park of Fryers Lane, High Wycombe and seemed to be acting suspiciously. He was detained from the car and searched under the Misuse of Drugs Act.
Within the car officers found a significant amount of cocaine and heroin.
Mahmood was arrested and charged on Sunday (4/6).
Following his plea, Mahmood was remanded in custody to be sentenced at Aylesbury Crown Court on 5 July.
Investigating officer, PC Benjamin Pearmain, of the Stronghold team based in Aylesbury, said: “Mahmood was caught with drugs in his vehicle and it was obvious he was looking to profit from the sale of Class A.
“We will continue to take strong action on drugs, investigating those who deal drugs and bringing them before the courts to face justice.
“Members of the public can play their part in helping us to remove drug dealers from our communities by reporting information to us, so we can use it to build intelligence and take action.”
