Man charged after police officer shot with crossbow in High Wycombe

Officers were responding to a stabbing on May 10th

Thames Valley Police have charged a man after a police officer was shot in the leg with a crossbow in High Wycombe.

54-year-old Jason King, of School Close, Downley, High Wycombe, was charged yesterday with two counts each of; Section 18 - wounding with intent to do grievous bodily harm, and possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, and one count each of; possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, affray, possession of a knife in a public place.

He's also been charged with two counts each of criminal damage, cultivation of cannabis a class B controlled drug, possession of cannabis a class B controlled drug and assault by beating of an emergency worker.

Thames Valley Police responded to a stabbing and weapons incident in High Wycombe, around 6pm on May 10th.

The officer was discharged from hospital after the incident where the force were called to an address in School Lane, Downley.

A man in his 60s suffered a stab wound and was also taken to hospital
