Man charged with murder after woman's death in Beaconsfield

A 39-year-old man's been charged with murder, after a woman's death in Beaconsfield.

Thames Valley Police were called to Seeleys Road around 6:20am on Friday (February 23), where a woman in her 40s was found in a home. She was pronounced dead at the scene, having suffered serious injuries.

The Major Crime Unit launched a murder investigation, with the victim's next of kin being supported.

Speaking at the time of the incident, Senior investigating officer Detective Inspector Nick Hind of the Major Crime Unit, said: “We are carrying out a thorough investigation into the circumstances of this incident.

“My thoughts are with the victim’s family and friends at this difficult time.

“The investigation is still in its early stages, however we believe that this is an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public.

“A scene watch is currently in place. If anyone has any concerns, please speak to one of our officers.”

Yesterday, February 25, Thames Valley Police charged 39-year-old Paul Gill, of Seeleys Road, with one count of murder.

He's due to appear at Wycombe Magistrates' Court today.
