Man charged in connection with Bedford stabbing

A man has been charged in connection with a stabbing in Bedford over the weekend.

It happened on Saturday afternoon (5 June).

Mahmood Amime, aged 21, of Iddesleigh Road in Bedford, was charged with Section 18 grievous bodily harm, attempted robbery, affray, possession of an offensive weapon in a public place, burglary and theft of a pedal cycle.

The victim suffered injuries which required hospital treatment, but is now recovering.

Amime appeared at Luton Crown Court on Monday (7 June) and was remanded into custody pending a future court date.
