A 25-year-old man's been charged with attempted murder, after a Thames Valley Police investigation into an assault in Milton Keynes earlier this week.

Wesley Atick, of Buxton Close, Glebe Farm, Milton Keynes, was charged with one count of attempted murder yesterday (October 25).

It follows an assault in the underpass between Groveway and Newport Road in Wavendon Gate on Monday (October 23), where a man in his 30s suffered life threatening injuries.

He remains in hospital.

Police have also charged Atick with possession of an offensive weapon in a private place, which is unrelated to the assault and relates to an incident in Glebe Farm on Tuesday (October 24).

He's been remanded in custody and is due to appear at Milton Keynes Magistrates Court this morning.
