Man at centre of Milton Keynes murder investigation bailed
A woman in her forties died after being taken to hospital on Sunday, leading to the arrest and conditional release of a man on suspicion of murder
A man arrested in connection with an ongoing murder investigation in Milton Keynes has been released on conditional bail as inquiries continue.
In the early hours of Saturday, 2 November, South Central Ambulance Service attended a home in Holywell Place, Milton Keynes, where they found a woman in her forties in need of medical attention. She was transported to hospital but was later pronounced dead.
Following her death, police launched an investigation and, later that day, arrested a man in his forties on suspicion of murder. He has since been released on bail until 20 January 2025.
The woman has been formally identified as 42-year-old Carol Georgiou, a resident of Milton Keynes. Her family is being supported by specially trained officers during this time.
A post-mortem examination has been conducted by the Home Office, but the exact cause of Carol’s death remains undetermined pending further forensic testing.
