Man arrested on suspicion of attempted murder after Milton Keynes GBH

The victim, a man in his 30s, remains in hospital with life threatening injuries

Thames Valley Police have arrested a man from Milton Keynes after an incident of grievous bodily harm in the city.

It happened on Monday night (October 23) in the underpass between Groveway and Newport Road in Wavendon Gate, around 9:30pm.

A man in his 30s was assaulted and remains in hospital with life threatening injuries.

A 25-year-old man, from Milton Keynes, has been arrested on suspicion of attempted murder.

He remains in custody.

Police are appealing for witnesses following the incident.

Detective Chief Inspector James Horseman, Crime Manager for Milton Keynes, said: “This was a serious incident that we are investigating thoroughly, with a suspect currently in police custody.

“There is a large scene-watch in place and residents will see an increased police presence in the area while officers and staff carry out enquiries.

“We believe this was an isolated incident and that there is no wider risk to the public but I understand people may have concerns and I encourage you to discuss these with any of our uniformed officers.
